Coming from a long line of flute players((including my dad), I took up the flute mantle in junior high. Although being classically trained early in my flute playing career,[holding both the A.Mus. & L.Mus. as well as the F.Mus. in Flute], I formed a folk-rock band called 'Blue Gum.
With 'Blue Gum' I performed some of the Irish dance music that I still play and have recorded here onto my CD. Later, I added keyboards to my performance skills and this has allowed me to explore many different music genres including reggae, jazz and roots which I also have played in various other bands since my College days. My professional recording experiences began in reggae and contemporary Irish music and have including live performances since the turn of the millenium.
This album has been inspired by many influential flautists including Don Burrows, Matt Molloy, Dave Valentine, Herbie Mann, Colin Tillton (van Morrison), Walter Parazaider and Joe Farrell.
With many pieces still to record and another project in the planning I hope you enjouy Breezin and stay tuned for the next one.
