ABOUT BREEZIN

Coming from a long line of flute players (including my dad) , I took up the flute mantle in junior high school. Although being classically trained [holding both the Associate and Licentiate as well as a Fellowship in Flute, early in my flute playing career, I formed a folk-rock band called 'Blue Gum' and performed some of the Irish dance music that I still play and that I am recording today. I later added keyboards to my performance skills and this allowed me to experience many different genres including reggae, jazz and roots which I played in various bands through college and beyond. My recording experience began in reggae and contemporary Irish music including a live outdoor performance on the turn of the millenium (1999/2000)

This album has been inspired by many influential flautists including Don Burrows, Matt Molloy, Dave Valentine, Herbie Mann, Colin Tillton (van Morrison), Walter Parazaider and Joe Farrell.

With many pieces still to record and another project in the planning I hope you enjouy Breezin and stay tuned for the next one.
